Summary
The traditional feudal territory of the Wilderlords, contrasted in The Golden Goblin with the newer, magic-administered Magelaw of Minalan and his magelords. Tyndal explains to Tandine that in the Wilderlaw the old feudal order is more or less intact and the duties of a vassal are clearly defined - whereas in the Magelaw a vassal's service to his Count includes magical service as well as the usual military and administrative duties. Rondal also notes the Wilderlaw as one of the places he is glad King Ashakarl's court cannot easily reach.
